I arrived an hour early for my shift (thanks to a lift from a coworker, rather than having to take skytrain!)...so I walked around town a bit and took a few pictures...

Here's the Australia team's banner that has made news recently...there were rumours that officials were going to make them take it down. After much talk, it was decided that the Aussie team could keep the banner flying.

Even construction companies are getting in the spirit and flying flags high!

A view from the Alex Fraser bridge in Delta. Not a lot of snow on the mountains! This has been in the news a lot lately. Cypress mountain is hurting for snow...they closed it weeks ago to the public to maintain the "pristine" condition of snow there. In the past week or more, officials have been trucking snow from Manning Park to Cypress...and helicopters have been dumping loads of snow there too (on top of straw and old snow). Officials say all will be fine!
